Hats

My Granddad wore a fedora style hat to work,

He was proud of it and proud of his job, a clerk.

My father never wore that type of hat,

The fedora was placed in the closet where it sat.

My father did wear a baseball cap for his favorite team,

He wore it every time he went out and when acknowledged did beam.

His brother wore a different type of cap for quite a while,

A marine to the core, it was white and black rimed that he did adore.

Myself I wore a cap to cover my bald head,

I avoided the sun and did not want to become red.

Hats are what you make of them but one thing is true,

It tells you a little about the person, just a simple clue.
