Being Sick

We always look for the day off.  The day we rest and regenerate to meet the obligations of the week.

But why is it so often that the day off tends to be the day we get sick.  All the plans go out the window and hiding in bed is what we seek.

Tissues come out of the box, sneezes pronounced and your nose runs like a river.

You feel crappy and your body sweats and sometimes you shiver.

Can not take a sick day because this is your day off.

You sneeze and have that inflamed throat and that awful cough.

Your eyes are red and do not focus,

The movement of your body is like hocus pocus.

And then you get well and you realize your day off is over,

For now the week starts, back to work, no walk in the clover.
