Madame Tussauds is a wax museum in London with branches in a number of major cities. It was founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud and was formerly known as “Madame Tussaud’s”; the apostrophe is no longer used. Madame Tussauds is a major tourist attraction in London, displaying waxworks.

It is funny to me for my last name is Wax.  Note that this is a real person who started this venture.  She was born in the seventeen hundreds and created a huge business.  She was a business woman who made her living in sculpture figures of history with a slant towards the grotesque.  She did a lot of killers and murders who slashed their way to fame.

Alice and I visited the one in Orlando.  True none were from her hands but the effects are quite good.  You feel you are standing next to actors and actresses.  Shrek was there but no Bugs Bunny or Roadrunner.  None of the fairy stories were depicted.

Somebody should pick up the gauntlet and do that.  Mother Goose in Wax.  Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood, and the Tooth Fairy prancing in wax.

Just a thought.
